PlayZ is more than just an app for kids. It’s a creative space where kids explore, create, and learn while having fun. Our US-based client wanted to build something truly groundbreaking- an app that combines dynamic experiments, customizable stories, and interesting quizzes, all powered by AI. It’s rare to offer such a level of imaginative, personalized, and learning experiences specifically designed for kids.

We built this custom story generation and DIY at-home experiments platform, a child-friendly space where kids can dive into science with hands-on experiments, generate custom stories with images, and earn tokens for their achievements.

Challenges We Encountered

Child-Safe AI-Generated Content: Creating a rock-solid AI content filter system was critical to ensuring that all the stories, experiments, and fun facts generated by ChatGPT were child-safe and appropriate.

Personalizing Science Experiments in Real Time: To generate science experiments based on kid’s input, be it ingredients or themes, needed an easy-to-flow format with real-time data accuracy.

Visual Storytelling At Lightning Speed: To integrate Midjourney, Dall-E3 & StabilityAI for image generation alongside ChatGPT’s custom story generation was complicated and posed technical challenges. We had to keep the processing times minimal to maintain user engagement.

Developing an Engaging Reward-Driven System For Kids: We had to ensure the kids felt motivated to continue learning by building a token-based reward system that blended swiftly into the app architecture.

We integrated intelligent ChatGPT prompts to build a custom experiment generator that utilizes kids’ requests and ingredients selected along with the pre-defined prompt for providing a name, objective, instructions, safety precautions, explanation with fun science facts, and further exploration to generate personalized science experiments for kids.

Speedy Story & Image Generation in Real Time

MidJourney’s AI-generated images pair perfectly with ChatGPT’s stories. To minimize the wait times, we created the functionality of placeholder stories while the custom story gets ready in the backend.

Quizzes And Reward System With Tokens
