Job Description
- Lead the full design lifecycle: user research, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI for web and mobile applications.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and competitive analysis, then turn findings into actionable design decisions.
- Create user flows, journey maps, wireframes, and interactive prototypes that communicate design intent clearly.
- Design and maintain scalable design systems, component libraries, and style guides to ensure consistency across products.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate, pixel-perfect implementation and resolve design-to-development gaps.
- Present and defend design decisions to internal stakeholders and clients with clear rationale grounded in user needs and business goals.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level designers, conducting design reviews and elevating overall team quality.
- Stay current with design trends, tools, and accessibility standards (WCAG), and advocate for best practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- 7+ years of professional UI/UX design experience, ideally in a product or software services environment.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design work across web and mobile platforms.
- Expert proficiency in Figma (and/or Adobe XD, Sketch) and prototyping tools.
- Solid grasp of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and visual design fundamentals (typography, layout, color, hierarchy).
- Experience building and scaling design systems.
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and an understanding of front-end constraints (handoff to React, Angular, or similar is a plus).
- Familiarity with responsive and accessible design standards.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Fine Arts, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
